📜 Treaties
Formal agreements between nations
Treaties are bilateral agreements between two nations. Open 📜 My Treaties from the navigation menu, or propose one when visiting another nation (tap 📜 Treaty).
Each type must be accepted by the other nation before it takes effect. You can only have one pending or active treaty of each type with a given partner.
🕊️ Non-Aggression Pact — neither nation can declare war on the other while active.
⚖️ Trade Accord — raises the pending private-trade cap between you and that partner from 5 to 8.
🛡️ Mutual Defense Pact — blocks war like a NAP, alerts you when your partner is attacked, helps you join the fight against their attacker (including waiving your 12-hour war cooldown when applicable), and allows wartime economic aid trades while they are at war and you are not.
Propose — visit a nation and choose a treaty type. Each option shows what it does before you send it.
Accept or reject — the partner reviews the proposal under My Treaties (For review).
Withdraw — if you sent a proposal that is still pending, open it and withdraw it. The other nation is notified.
Cancel — either nation can cancel an active treaty early. Effects end immediately.
Expire — active treaties last 30 days from acceptance, then expire automatically. Both nations are notified.
When an MDP partner is attacked, you receive a Mutual Defense Alert that links to the treaty. On that page you can:
✉️ Message your partner, ⚖️ Send Aid (a wartime economic trade, if you are not also at war and do not already have a pending aid trade), or ⚔️ Join War by declaring on their attacker when war rules allow it.
Alliance members already cannot declare war on each other, so Non-Aggression and Mutual Defense pacts cannot be proposed between allies.
Trade Accords are still negotiated bilaterally — alliance membership does not grant them automatically.
