๐Ÿ’ฑ Trade

Exchange resources with other nations

You can trade with other nations privately, or use Global Trade at /trades to post open buy/sell orders anyone can fill.

These are two separate systems. Global Trade is a ๐Ÿ’ต money market: every order buys or sells a resource for cash, across all worlds. Private trades are pure barter: goods for goods between two nations on the same world, no money. ๐Ÿค Influence cannot be traded at all: it is spent on map expansion and political moves.

Factories produce steel each turn. Your first Factory does not require steel. Oil Wells produce oil and Refineries produce plastic, both unlocked with Petroleum in the Industrial Age.

โš ๏ธ Note: Trade does not circumvent maximum values. Resource stockpiles are capped. If you acquire more than a cap through trade, your nation will reset those values to the maximum on your next turn.

Global Trade

Every order trades against ๐Ÿ’ต money. Post a sell order to escrow goods at your asking price, or a buy order to escrow cash for the goods you need. Escrow is held until someone fills the order, you cancel it, or it expires after 7 days. When filling, choose how much of the ask you will pay; the other side scales to the same rate in whole units. Leftover escrow stays on the open order. Filled orders set the prices on the ticker and chart, and move to the Closed list.

Private trades between two nations remain available from the world map (tap a nation, then ๐Ÿ’ฑ Trade), each nation's page, and My Trades. Partner slots come from โš“๏ธ Port, ๐Ÿช Market, ๐Ÿฆ Bank, ๐Ÿ›ค Railway, ๐Ÿ›ซ Airport, and ๐Ÿ“ก Spaceport (one slot per building type, max 6). Both nations need a free slot to open a new private partnership, and both must be settled on the same world map. Global Trade does not use partner slots and is open across worlds.

Military aid (units, not resources) is separate: same-alliance only, receiver must be at war, offered units are escrowed, and the alliance General must approve from the Military Aid tab. Gifts are allowed. WMDs cannot be transferred. Successful aid lists the sender as a backer on the war page.

Every nation starts with one free private trade partner slot. Build a Port, then Market, Railway, Airport, and Spaceport to open more (max 6). Each open private negotiation with a distinct nation occupies one slot until it is accepted or cancelled.

There is also a limit of 5 pending private trade requests between a pair of nations by default. An active ๐Ÿ’ฑ Trade Accord with that partner raises the pending cap to 8. See the Treaties guide for how to propose one.

Private trades and Global Trade both work while nations are at war. A ๐Ÿ›ก Mutual Defense Pact also offers a ๐Ÿ’ฑ Send Aid shortcut on the treaty page when your partner is at war and you are not.
